I know there is a thread about TMC from a few years back, but I figured I rather start a new one.

Noticed they are hiring, just wondering if anybody has info on QOL, pay, schedule and the overall situation.

I know a few years back people were not very happy there, just wondering if anything has changed.

The 2/2 schedule and home basing peaked my interest.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I talked with a friend who is a PIC on the Hawker for them. 15/13 schedule. Pay is per day only if you're on the road. I believe 250 a day for FOs, 350 for BE400 PIC and 380ish for Hawker PIC. Per diem is 40 bucks a day. Standard health bennies and 401k stuff. Working on a day off is 300 bucks plus your daily rate.

A thread on PPW didn't paint a very pretty picture but I got the impression from my friend that a few things have changed and for the most part it was an ok gig. Pay could be higher but that is a universal complaint. The only being paid if you're out is,meh but it seems like if you want to you can work as much or as little as you like.

Home based, you have to pick 2 airports with suitable airline service (not sure the exact definition). It is possible for them to fly you out of one airport and fly you home to the other, could make where the car is, well... tricky.

'bout all I got.

Gotcha, thanks.

Yea it seems like that is the overall feeling about that place. Not horrible , but not a career place.

In regards to the pay, say you start your 15 rotation, but you don't fly the first two days, does that mean you won't get paid for those two day?

I'm just trying to explore my options, so I can get out of my current situation (135 freight) and have a choice of where I want to live.

You have to be on the road, not necessarily flying just on the road to be paid. I don't think there is a "time" minimum either. IE, if Monday is your last day but you get home Monday at 9am you are still paid your full day rate.

Do you get a raise in the daily rate year after year or would I be dreaming?

I read somewhere they train you on days off, they pay extra for that or at least your daily rate or do pilots train for free?

From what ive heard they are also pretty busy. I flew about 100 hrs to their 250

Source - dude I met during training worked for them.
