Thanks, I love that B25 shot. Next time shoot me a message first so you can get the JC discount!

Probably my favorite of the bunch also. No discount needed. Your prices are already awesome and I was happy to pay full price. Thanks again for making those photos available.

A few from the ramp! Tomorrow will be my last day at the little airport that can't, so here's some from when I was actually ENCOURAGED to bring my camera out.

The Treasures You Find... by Jay Bowie, on Flickr

This one's from the forward galley of a Miami Air 737, I forget when and what rego, but the event was rain, rain, rain...so I got to clean all day.

United Express "ExpressJet Airlines" Embraer ERJ-135 N16525 by Jay Bowie, on Flickr

EMB-135 on the ramp, in active service, as a sub for the CRJ-700 to ORD. Explaining the fuel load request/capacity was fun, but the F/O was cool about it and joked with me about ending up in BGM anyway.

A Collection Of Airliners by Jay Bowie, on Flickr

Some of these things are the oldest ones flying...

Another one I enjoyed. Popped open the panel to a few friendly warnings from across the country.

I always enjoyed fuel panel grafitti. And I enjoyed my years at The Big W, so sad to see MHT with so little airline service. I remember when UAL used to have 2 757's RON every night and USAir had 5-6 RON mainline aircraft.

Can't forget the ABX DC-9! I've scribbled a few sayings on the panels during my hay day at MHT

Oh man and those ABX guys were the nicest crews. Come hell, high water, or deathly snow storms, that ABX -9 was coming in and going out one way or the other.

First time contributor. I'm oh so close to 1500hrs and just need to get my CMEL this fall. Flying our 120 and having fun taking care of the rest of the time. This was two weeks ago on a trip with my husband to Beaumont, KS and another couple (in the Super Cub). If you are not familiar, Beaumont is in southeast Kansas and is pretty much a ghost town - I think there are 50 residents, plus the hotel. There's a 2300' grass strip running alongside the east edge of town, and once you land, you taxi down the street to the hotel. The hotel has a great diner inside as well, though it's not open in the early part of the week. We went on a Thursday night in time for dinner, spent the night and flew to nearby Stearman Field (1K1) for breakfast before returning to KC. If you need time, you might as well have fun getting it.

Holy smokes! First off nice picture! Second I have flown that Cub, SJ did my tailwheel endorsement years ago in his old one. One of these days I need to visit Noah's and say hello.

arkflyr - small small world! I've flown 97T quite a bit too (though I did my tailwheel endorsement in NM). SJ sold a percentage of 4CC to a couple who are both retired ZKC controllers. They're the ones who went with us on this trip. They are still very much around Noah's, though, SJ also has a C180 there.

This picture reminds me of Cannonball Run

"We're out of beer Victor."

That polished skin is sexy. Lovely little airplane. You should be proud.

More ramp history on this day as I pack for my next adventure, with TNT's Lord of the Rings marathon going in the background. Just another 99...

"Barbra," now since tossed into storage in VCV.

Original 1969-build as a -70 model for United Airlines and delivered as N8096U. Tossed into storage as of 2012.

The airspace killer, leaving MHT.

And WOW that's a pretty bird.

Thank you guys so much!! I am headed to the airport tomorrow afternoon to finish polishing. Blakesburg (Antique Airplane Association invitation fly-in) is next weekend and the plane has to look perfect! That place is a photographer's dream. Hopefully I'll have a lot more photos to share after next week!

kind of airplane related...

Found this old wind vane while helping my dad move this weekend. Do I leave it be and just clean it, or sand it and repaint it (thinking red with white stripes) I doubt it'll be a wind vane again. The props spin btw...thought that was a nice touch.

I hope American Pickers would be proud.
