You see a 185 on floats. Here's what I see:
185: trimming horizontal stab. Corrosion problems with trim actuators, and can't get them out without pulling the whole tail. Everything in the tail cracks, exacerbated by moisture and subsequent corrosion from float ops. Seat rail AD. Chintzy aluminum seats. $1000 door handles. Continental engine. Cylinder problems. Bad access to everything. 50/50 chance of starter clutch problems. Access sucks, but better than a 206 because it has a steel tube engine mount like a real airplane should.
Amphib floats: dissimilar metal moving parts dipped in water. Instant battery. Constant war on corrosion. Even worse those look like PK floats. Not supported very well and old.
