The guess is the restructuring would be shrinking the airline to better manageable levels based on expected attrition. Apparently we have a sort of fleet problem. The model the management wants is one fleet type and one certificate. Deltas 145 extension this spring threw a monkey wrench in that plan. Getting rid of the 145s and the Qs could solve the pilot issue.
On top of all that we have the C series on order and who knows what the plan is with those. But I think a restructuring deal could take care of all of that.
So that might be how a chapter 11 would take care of the pilot issue. I have no idea just speculating.
