My dog passed away last night.

Got him when I was 11. He was just a puppy, I guess 15 is a long life. He was a good dog, loved to walk and play even when he was old. I'll miss him.
 
Sorry for your loss. I still miss my dog from growing up. I saved a couple of her things as mementos back then that helped get over it.
 
So very sorry. It is coming up on a month since we lost our cat. No doubt you were a great fur daddy and gave him a great life.

Sorry to hear that. Always sucks to lose a member of your family, human or otherwise. Pets really do bring happiness to our lives, and know how to do so without fail. Great looking dog btw. I'm certain he passed knowing he lived a good life with a good family who cared about him.

I'm still searching for my dog who went missing 2 weeks ago. Vanished from home.
 
I missed this thread altogether. I am very sorry for your loss. He's a cute boy and he lived a long life full of love and happiness. So difficult and painful when we lose a friend. But you have 15 tears of wonderful memories in your heart and mind and you'll carry his love forever. I hope you feel better soon. Post if you need to vent. We're here.

As an absolutely irrelevant aside, the picture (above) captures everthing which is honorable, pure and enduring about the love which a dog brings to a man. When there is nothing we have to offer but a lap on a cold street corner, a dog will receive that as a whole world given and share in return perfect loyalty and unconditional love.

To know that devotion is a remarkable thing.
 
Pets love unconditionally, I guess that's why it's so easy to love them back.
