Hageland is hiring

Hageland Aviation (dba Ravn Connect) is hiring. Min requirement is a current medical and CSEL. We operate C207s, C208s, Navajos, and B1900s. Less than 1,500 hours and you will be a Van SIC but moving up to B1900 SIC is fairly quick. More than 1,500 and they will put you in a 207. I'm not going to lie, Van FO pay sucks at $66/day. My new hire class was in March and I will be attending initial class for the 1900 later this month, lots of movement right now. Also, if you want to go 121 once you hit ATP mins you can hop over to the Corvus (dba Ravn Alaska) side, which has great pay for a regional. If you have questions I will try and answer here in case anyone else has similar questions.
Forgot to add that the class will be in November.

I heard the union push on the 121 side was an effort in part to lockout the 135 bush rats from hopping certs to the 121 side.

I'll have my commercial multi by October and want in. How many hours do you average in a 14 day shift? How is the commuting jumpseating out of ANC?

Not sure if they will consider you until you have your commercial. Anywhere from 50-100 hours depending on the base and time of the season. I've been doing it out of Texas for a few months, it's not bad because we only do it twice a month.

I noticed this about a month ago. When you click on the link for the pilot announcement it actually brings up an announcement for an assistant chief position. This is on the flyravn.com site which should cover Hageland. Is there a better link or do you have an email we could use?

I was curious what your commute looked like...can you make ANC in a day? Any issues with flights? What's the rotation look like on your calendar as far as planning for start times and getting back home? Sorry for the goofy questions; I'm intrigued. Thanks.

David

Shifts are the 1st-15th and the 16th-end of the month. I've been coming up from Houston and spending a night with my folks in ANC and then hop an AS flight on the last day of the month to be there in time for my shift.

Let me see if I've got this right. Hageland is part of Ravn, so the hiring and the application process go through Ravn. I just read on the Ravn sight they the minimums are R-ATP and to not apply if you're under that. I am just shy of 300TT. Will my resume get thrown away or do they get put into a pile for Hageland? I don't see anything stating the minimums posted online. I'm just trying to avoid sending in a resume that's clearly under the R-ATP minimums and upsetting the person that gets them in the mail all day.

Hello,
Wondering what kind of mins they want for Mulit time to move to the 1900. I have about 1200 TT, 300 in Alaska, but don't have my multi commerical done yet.. Worth it to apply before finishing that? Was going to try to knock it out in a few weeks when I went back to the States.

Hageland and Corvus (121 side) have seperate hiring operations. If your resume is properly marked for Hageland it will make it into the right "pile."

Well crap. The bio and everything else I read said they all merged. I just specified it was for the caravan FO spot. I used Ravn rather than Hageland since I thought it was all the same. Is Hageland the only one who uses caravan FO's?

It's complicated. In short they are seperate FAA operating certificates but one seniority list.

Hageland is the side that uses Caravan F/Os so your resume should make its way into the right hands. This is not a huge corporation and the two Chiefs' offices are only separated by a floor. A follow up call probably would not hurt. Just call the main office number and ask for to speak with someone to verify that they received your application for a pilot position with Hageland and they should connect you with someone in the the hagey office.
