Spot on. The "this may kill ya" notams need to be first, in red and bold.
We can close the investigation now; no further inquiry is required. Here is the atc recording starts about 12:40. What's even better is that the two flying the plane are the Director of Safety and the VP of flight ops.
Don't say that at My Employer."Bingo" is a multiservice, joint, standard brevity term that has also been adopted by more than one 121 airline into their SOPs.
Such as...The problem is that you'll often see six pages of notams, IN ALL CAPS full of interesting tidbits like using caution about a fireworks display in July 2038 and there's a small, important tidbit that gets buried.
Some stations use perforated paper which is easy to separate into sections, others use that dot matrix roll where they'll hand you a continuous sheet about 9 feet long and you have to either read it like you're Santa Claus reading "Who's Naughty, Who's Nice" list or scream "INTERN! Separate my sections and BRING ME A FRESCA on the double".

Yuma.Fair nuff...
But bird activity via ATIS doesn't ever provide a scale that I've heard.
Pretty sure at your new place 'bingo' fuel isn't in the Flight Manual. @Cruise? You fly South of the border you better be using ICAO phraseology. They hammer that home in training there.
I'd love to see the flight release from the Allegiant incident.
I wonder if the NOTAM was buried until a cascade on non-sequitur minutia, omitted, overlooked or not reconsidered after the departure delay.
I hope you are being sarcastic....When flying as a PAX, would it be appropriate to open Foreflight on my iPad and share the current NOTAMs with the crew on the way to my seat?
I hope you are being sarcastic....
It is legal per FAR 121.639. Safe may be a different story. I dispatch like this only difference is I'm usually tankering fuel when it's done.Pretty sure you can dispatch with no contingency, no holding fuel and no alternate fuel with 45 minutes left in the tanks in 121 ops and still be legal. Add in some unforcasted winds and taking off AT min fuel and this is exactly what happens.
But I could be wrong about that, as I've never actually done it before.

@jskibo is never NOT sarcastic...I hope you are being sarcastic....
Yes. Also, when delayed due to weather at the destination, I've found 121 crews greatly appreciate when I tell them I just talked to a friend who lives near the airport who just told me the weather is fine now so we should be able to leave.
Its my endearing quality (at least that's what all the ex wives tell me)@jskibo is never NOT sarcastic...
Well come on, you do know how to pick 'em...Its my endearing quality (at least that's what all the ex wives tell me)
I HATE the media; CNN reported this story today. Their story put all the responsibility on the Blue Angles.
One "reporter" said, "You would think they or the tower would have known the airplane was coming. It was a scheduled flight."
Ughhh![]()
I agree with them. And I think the Blue Angels opposing solo pilot should be court martialed now, as an example.
