Honestly it doesn't seem to me like they are, I am still doing my flight training so I am not sure if they are. Does anyone know what are airlines are actually hiring more(if they are)?
By the time you get all of your ratings, (I looked at your profile-if that is accurate-66 hrs) get some gigs under your belt to build hours/experience, it all will have changed a dozen times. In other words, what is relevant now or in the near future will not be relevant by the time you are in a position to make a decision about any carrier.Honestly it doesn't seem to me like they are, I am still doing my flight training so I am not sure if they are. I know SKW is hiring, classes 45+ on the CRJ each month, not sure on the ERJ side. If your close, go ahead and get an app in. Any questions just ask..
Last four classes on CRJ side have had 42+ each month. Current class is 50. They are filling the classes. Good for my seniority number. 8)Blackhawk said:I know they want classes that size, but I'm not sure they have found that many. I know some regional airlines are having a very difficult time finding qualified pilots to fill class seats.

So much for that pilot shortage that everyone was talking about.Last four classes on CRJ side have had 42+ each month. Current class is 50. They are filling the classes. Good for my seniority number. 8)
One airline. Others are hurting. Mine wanted that many last month and got... 2. Most of my flights right now are full due to other FFDs canceling flights- no crews. So much for that pilot shortage that everyone was talking about.
We were discussing this in recurrent today at 9e... the pilot pool is now an asset worth just as much or more than a fleet of beat up RJs. Somebody with money is gonna buy someone else just for access to the seniority list.I would not be surprised to see some FFD purchases/mergers just to get the pilot pool.
That's what I like to hear!! Hopefully it stays that way for a good while.I know they want classes that size, but I'm not sure they have found that many. I know some regional airlines are having a very difficult time finding qualified pilots to fill class seats.
Music to my earsOne airline. Others are hurting. Mine wanted that many last month and got... 2. Most of my flights right now are full due to other FFDs canceling flights- no crews.
At this point, is there any evidence in a reduction in "quality time" experience as new goal has been reaching ATP mins?
It doesn't sound unreasonable to me, to require an airline pilot to possess an airline transport pilot certificate.I'll tell you that my friend, who was a check airman, said that the only thing the ATP rule did was remove their ability to be selective about who they hired.
Take that how you will.
