SGU isn't for everyone...the town pretty much shuts down at 10pm and you have the weird liquor laws. Also 3.2% beer. But what are you coming here to do? Drink some beers or advance your career in dispatch? Ask yourself and do your research on the community. Mesquite is right around the corner, and as others have mentioned don't forget about Vegas. The drive takes a little less than two hours and you are working a schedule of 4 on, 3 off. Plenty of time for a good time to be had.
As far as SkyWest is concerned, it's a great company that treats its employees well. I think that's worth a lot and not found too often these days. You will work desks with both CRJs and ERJs, and start off at a wage that's worth getting out of bed for. OT is usually available for those who want it.
My only complaints are the high prices for single-family homes and the fact that you have only three options for travel: SLC, Denver, or the shuttle to Vegas.
Also, yes to homebrew!
