The beaver guys here were all over checking it out. As a group they are puking a 2-3 engines a year on average. I am surprised they didn't bring it through Juneau. 100LL is mandated by the FAA for 135, but it will run mo-gas all day long PT91.

Really? Unless I'm looking at the wrong one the TCDS calls for 100LL.

Did a quick hop down to Sun and Fun.
Took my fancy camera but haven't looked through or edited any yet, so these are the iPhone ones.

You never know who you're going to meet in airports. I started BSing with a SW dude when I was in IND. Turns out he owns an Albatross. He was kind enough to have pity on me and he offered a lawn chair and beer.
This was taken under the wing. His partner added the flag to the nose, and this is just America all around.

For certification it's was easier to go 100LL. The rep said that whatever 100LL substitute is used it will run just fine for future proofing.

Ugh, I need one of these. Too bad they are so much money, although a WAY better value than a turbine Beaver or even a Caravan. The only one I've seen for sale lately had the pt6 (puke) and they want 680,000E. There's a brand new 2011(like 25TT) on wip 6100s for 1.2mil to.

Although that one probably wouldn't be too bad considering it's in the restricted category. This being Alaska I'm sure the owners don't care about that.

Need to see more classic Warbirds up in here. Corsairs, Zeros, Hellcats, Spits, 109's B-17,24,25, P-51's all the models, the A-10's grandfather, the P-47, the beloved Lightning. Kates, Junkers, Vals, 190's P-40's, Curtis Helldivers, SBD's, Advengers, TBD's and all the other ones that escape my memory at this hour. Those things our grandfathers spoke so highly off.
