Nice shot! I fly a G36 out of TOA on my days off for a guy. One of these days we'll have to take it over to Catalina and grab lunch

Sounds great. I live 10 minutes away, let me know when you're around regardless of a Catalina trip.

About 10 years ago, the Catalina airport was doing monthly cookouts during the summer. As I recall, there was cover charge on top of the usual landing fee, but the food was great and there was usually a band playing. All of that on top of the amazing view from the airport restaurant there. Awesome times. I need to find out that's still a thing they do.

They still do it, not sure when it is starting up though. I am sure @fholbert knows more info on it. If I can find the website I'll post it here.
