The buses have Telex 750's.
Make me an offer, I'll sell you mine.I'm very interested in a Clarity Aloft for my survey work. My old Flightcom Denali's are a bit long in the tooth, though still perfectly functional and ANR. Craning your head around looking for my next field to photograph after 7 hours in the air over Bloomington, IL gets old with the heavy Flightcoms. No batteries needed for the Clarity Aloft's is a plus as well.
Wow, putting me on the spot. Are you in a rush to sell? I ask because I wasn't planning on seriously looking until May and the flying season kicks off so the have the extra cash floating around.Make me an offer, I'll sell you mine.

I miss my props, but I do like being able to hear at the end of the day now too.
Mine I believe is what they call the classic. It's a headset. It's even used. I'll throw in 10 or so extra ear buds. Maybe 8 depending on if I change them again before may.Want a set of FlightCom Denali ANR's?
In all seriousness come May I'll be more serious. Maybe in the $250 range? (Not sure if yours are TSO'd / Bluetooth / etc.)
I was debating on picking up a pair of Telex 850, but after reading this post, I may have to look at the Pro-X.
My only concern is I have minimal space in the Lear above my head and the band looks thicker than the 850. I'd need to try them prior to purchase. They're amazing. Glad I didn't purchase the Telex 850's.
You totally should so I can try them out.I was debating on picking up a pair of Telex 850, but after reading this post, I may have to look at the Pro-X.
The David Clark DC Pro X ENC headsets.
Sweet nectar of the gods.
Yes, they're spendy, you find find them at a slight discount at the DTW Stopover store and have you priced-out hearing aids and audiologists?![]()
The bedazzle them!I'm just not sure if they're stylish enough for me.
Actually I had the CA Pro's for about a year. Sold the CA's bought the Pro X's and haven't looked back. I didn't really want a clamp style headset but after a year and a half or so I've found them super comfy. In the Lear 45 it seemed like the CA's picked up to much background noise, like the intercom would open the mic and you can hear a low hisssss though the headset. If it had a mic gain of some type it would've been easy to adjust but they don't. The Pro X's don't seem to have that problem at all. They also sound really good if you happen to test them with music. Also the auto mute function can be turned off. So you balance the intercom and music volume with out it cutting out every ten seconds. Once you pair your phone with the headset, simply tap the Bluetooth button to toggle the auto mute on and off. If it doesn't do that then you have an early model headset. I sent mine back to DC and they upgraded it for free. The music or phone conversation can't be broadcast over the radio or intercom. My "cough" friend flew with a new guy for about ten hours before he told the other guy he had been listening to music. The other guy neve heard any bleed through. The longest non-stop I've worn them is about four hours. No headaches or any thing, even with thicker plastic frame Oakley sunglasses.Anybody done a compare with the Dave Clarks vs. clarity aloft pro?
