Was there a specific instance of something happening recently (because if there is, I seem to have missed it), or is it just a combination of multiple things "piling up"?

Please please please don't let sour grapes ruin the rest of the batch. This site meens a lot to a lot of people who have more respect then to pee on the carpet.

Umm, this is rather embarrasing, but what if it was a photo finish and I came in second?

The ignore feature is really awesome. Give it a try for Doug's sake.

Shh... if everybody did that then nobody would be reading my posts.

I don't just let anyone smack my wee wee. So for me, it IS a big deal. =)

Especially when they don't pay the requisite cover charge.

We do not treat with the unbelievers. This is madness, my friend. The only conversation they are due is talking to their picked heads displayed upon pikes above the city walls which fly the banner of IN N OUT proudly. Anything less is weakness, and the Five Guys junta know all too wickedly well what weakness looks like. Look at their weak ass fries! NO SURRENDER, VICTORY OR DEATH!

Hot chicks? Those are old fat guys at the keyboard in their underware acting like hot chicks.
So you like hot chicks too?! So do I... maybe we should hang out. I don't know what underware is... I don't wear them... I'm a maddog guy and we don't need no stinkin' underware!

Before we have a "pile on" a few points...

Not every topic fits neatly in a box that we can all agree on. Some of these topics may become quite heated, folks may be REALLY passionate about them, and opinions may be deeply routed.

For example, the Allegiant Pilots want to get a deal for a contract. Say that doesn't happen and they get released for self help. As they are striking, other members on here cross the picket line and post about it. Are we supposed to still be welcoming of them? Yes it is hypothetical, but plays into what I'm about to say.

Personally, I obviously have strong feelings about Middle East Airlines. I feel they are a huge threat for myself and others on here. After a point, I'm really not going to care if I step on other members toes on here who support these airlines success or think I am wrong. If I cross that invisible line on here in support of my and other's career, internet niceties be damned. I'll be more concerned about my and other's career.

So, as I said, before we have a 'pile on', there is another side.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I will say that it isn't what you say that upsets people. It's how you say it. And with that, I'm out. This thread might go nuclear!

This isn't about viewpoints, but rather how they are conveyed and the way those who may not agree with you guys are treated.

Hell, I don't even think it's that so much as the "we aren't being treated fairly by the mods" spiel. The rest of is seem to be getting along with them just fine despite also having opinions about stuff.

If someone lacks the social skills to communicate on an adult level, that's not the mods fault.

Once again, if someone is at a viewpoint that can decimate my career (and yours), there comes a point, where internet niceties are thrown out the window.

Things can get intense with out treating people like they are dumb. How are people supposed to want to engage in a conversation with someone if it is going to be a one sided conversation, and they are going be beaten down for holding a different view point? The point of this website is to educate, and inform.

And being called a freeloader because I happened to go to a non union airline which just happened to have access to KCM? I picked an airline which gave me the best QOL, I didnt pick it because it had KCM. Nothing like making people feel welcome.

But that's not how we roll here. Nor an effective way to communicate your point effectively.

I agree with you that this is an important issue. But just because someone who has spent much of their career working at one of the airlines in question doesnt agree with you doesn't mean they don't deserve to be talked to like an adult.

Seriously, it's basic CRM.

Sorry, but in my mind if the viewpoint will decimate careers of members on here, at a point if the line is crossed, oh well. I'm more concerned about the careers of folks on here.

Basic CRM dictates that if someone is doing something that will kill you, to take control of the situation, by any means necessary to fix it. Yes, you work up to the point (which I think Todd and I have done) of having to take serious action. But at a point you have to do what you need to do get your point across or else you may be killed.
