Cut it out before we lose KCM

So what I'm getting from this is just continue to go through in uniform. If selected for random screening the toothpaste does not become a bomb just because you were selected. You should be able to go do the superman to get the exemptions... it's the same thing as showing up to the airport in uniform.

It would appear that the person in question did the superman and then returned right on back to KCM...idiot.

Superman and go do the additional security screening like a regular passenger...

Or dont.

And stay in uniform. Or don't.

Either way - we all make our choices.

They do contract themselves here in b and c, but the overlying fact is that if you're selected for random screening, leaving the checkpoint, changing into a uniform and then attempting to re-screen is IDIOTIC.

Common sense says at best you're carrying non-compliant liquids.

At worse, you may be carrying non-permissible items or something you know damned full well you shouldn't.
So if you have non compliant liquid then you can go back and "check your bag or superman it"

So if a crewmember gets selected for regular passenger screening and decides instead to turn around and go home because waiting in line is turrible, is that still a violation of CFR 1540.105? How much time must pass before it is no longer a violation?

Aren't you consenting to be searched in the first place? One would think if it was like any other consent to search you can remove that consent at any time.

The argument TSA have traditionally made is that once you start your attempt to access the sterile area, you have to finish the process or face civil and criminal penalties.

100 dollars that these are all f/as.

I'd almost take that bet, but if you reference the previous thread when they loosened the uniform requirement rule, there were some people that I suspected would attempt to "Superman" and return to the KCM checkpoint.

You also consent to your car and house being searched if you decide to leave the line.

When I read "Superman" all I can think about is that song...
