What plans and phones is everyone using?

PPS
Verizon iPhone 5 free with 2 year contract.
Verizon iPhone 6 is $199 with a 2 year contract.

Ahh. gotcha.

However, there are people like me that don't want to be on contracts. So, I bought my own phone outright. Carrier unlocked and powerful, like I said, makes my $500 Ipad look like a joke.

So you're saying I have an iPhone because I'm smarter, richer and better looking?

What can I say besides...

Droid Turbo on Verizon. Unlimited 4G LTE data and texts. 450 minutes I think. $83 each month that includes my FAA 15% discount.

Suddenly I understand this slogan.

That's a great slogan. Too bad it crashes and has instability issues. I only have it because my employer forces me to use it. I can't even browse through the PHAK without it crashing. And don't even get me started on the GPS location issues I run across. I think the biggest mistake the folks at Foreflight are making is that they don't develop for Android devices as well as Apple products. That's a huge market share they are leaving out.

45 bucks a month. Prepaid iPhone4. No plan, no contract. Unlimited talk and txt. 500MB data. I always use the wifi so I don't have problems with that.

I'm gangster.

I'm NOT an Apple nut but just today I took my 26 month old iPhone 5 to the Apple Store for a repair, the battery won't last the entire day.. (I bought the phone from Verizon)

Now it may have helped that I'm smarter, richer and better looking but I'm 59 years old and the very cute Apple Girl was about 22. She replaced the battery while I had lunch NO CHARGE.

Some guys just got it and what I have can't be taught!

Samsung S5 with T-mobile. I travel internationally a lot and the unlimited international data and text in the bundle is key. Nothing like pulling up trip advisor, yelp, GPS, etc and not worrying about roaming. Calls are under 20 cents a minute (I think, and this was calling from Switzerland). I use the Samsung as it I just like it a lot better than an iphone. I also run a Nexus 7 in the cockpit so I like the cross capability. And, for a few extra dollars, I can carry an extra battery and replace as needed. I also pay the extra amount each month for the Jump plan so I can upgrade every 6 months to a year.

You can text using GoGo internet for free through T-mobile and I believe they have an unlimited international talk plan for $20 more a month?

This is me as well.

Galaxy S5 with T-Mobile, for all of the reasons above and one more that has gone unmentioned. The WIFI calling is perfect overseas. Whenever I get into the hotel I just pick up the local WiFi and I am making and receiving calls back to the USA for nothing..nadda..zip!!

As mentioned above, being able to use your GPS, and pulling up that quick web page overseas without taking out a second mortgage is priceless. You won't get 4G LTE speeds, but I usually manage to get 3G seeds with is usually more then enough.

I left AT&T early just so I could get the T-Mobile plan. It almost seems like it was designed with the airline pilot in mind. As far as T-Mobile's coverage, I have found that unless you are out in Bumblefuke, Nowhere USA, it has never let me down.

Just my .02

LOL... I'm not saying you're a narcissist, but you may have narcissistic tendencies.

If you're so smart then why don't you change the battery yourself. Which I know how to do. I can order a battery for $15. Once delivered to my door, I can change it myself. Faster than you can finish you're lunch. And I never had to leave the house. So, rich people just throw away money on cute 22 year old at the Apple store. Creepy

Assuming you've reached the end of your contract you just need to update your plan. Last year I changed Verizon plans:

600 minutes, 2gb $89 to Unlimited talk/text, 2gb $59

Are you really using 4gb data on your cell service? Maybe you can reduce that? I've never used much over 1 gb and I work in technology. Seems like I'm almost always attached to a wireless access point saving cell data. Things like iCloud don't upload and updates don't download unless I'm on a WAP.

I consistently use over 2mb, and the steps in data are either 2 or 4. But compared to others here, I am paying almost double! I have been a Verizon customer for almost 20 years now, they should be doing me better than this. And I use more than 600 minutes as well. I need the unlimited talk. It shouldn't be this expensive.

I have a discount through my company on Verizon. I have 2GB data with unlimited talk/text on an iPhone 5C under a 2 year contract which has 8 months left. $85/month after tax. Not really sure that's the best deal, but I enjoy the broad range of coverage for all the rural locations I fly, and the fast internet pretty much anywhere I go.

I think you misread what I wrote. I said I changed my Verizon plan from 600 minutes, 2gb $89 to Unlimited talk/text, 2gb $59

What ever you need simply call Verizon and tell them you need a newer plan. I think you'll be surprised.

What part of $15 is better than free?

Is there any man here who has not spent money on a younger attractive woman? Virgins and Gay men need not respond.

I'm going to go and see what other carriers will do first. I usually use about 3gb of data a month.

Three devices on my Sprint business account. Two iphone 5Cs and an iPad mini - $155/month, no money down. Unlimited everything.

Good coverage in KY, lots of coverage holes outside major cities.

switched from Sprint to tmobile a few months ago. I haven't had any problems with the network. The data speeds are awesome, and all the other things people mentioned make the 100$ a month worth it. That includes their phone payment plan, insurance, and tax. I think the plan itself is 70 a month. I'm using an LG G3....awesome phone. They're doing rollover data on any plan above 3 gigs of data, so it's a pretty good deal.

Moto X, Republic Wireless, $25 unlimited everything at 3G speeds. 4G is $40 a month, but I don't need it. The Moto X is the perfect-sized smartphone.
