I absolutely love Sion although never flown the approach. Its one of my favorite places to to vacation in Switzerland with plenty of places to hike, eat cheese, drink wine. Hearing the planes come down the valley or seeing the gliders soar above always makes me dream of being up there.Never been to Innsbruck,but would utterly love to.
Was a nice day in Salzburg yesterday but the circle to 33 is pretty hairy when the wind is gusting.
Some of my corporate friends used to take PC12s and Lear 45s into Sion - cloud break on the Geneva ILS, then VFR up the lake and down the valley below the ceiling!

Then there's PALH, which has an ice runway all winter. PAFA also has it's pond open as an ice runway.
