You can have one or the other but you do not get to have both.

There's this nifty red button on the yoke that makes it an airplane again, too. Shocker!

Speed is also controlled by thrust....

If you remember a while back someone said, if you can figure out which speed mode to use, you have the autopilot pretty much figured out?

Haha I know of several captains at airways that brief that we aren't to touch the boards for passenger comfort.

What? That's crazy talk...they're there for a reason. I use them all the time! But I probably just lack the skillz required for greatness. Seems to me that's the only way to make it down and on speed at times.
