Diamond DA20 in almost Northern Alberta. Personally I love winter time flying.

Not my picture.
The C5 was taxing from Hickam to the Reef Runway. They apparently missed the hold short clearance and crossed 8L and ended up wingtip to nose with a 717 that had been cleared on to 8L from the other side. Took almost 2 hours to get a tug out to move the planes apart.

The building in the background is actually a Federal prison.

Neither one of those aircraft are approved to powerback?

Throwback, "Welcome aboard Frontier Airlines, operated by Republic...ignore the fact the plane says Midwest and don't occupy the 100th seat otherwise you'll have to pay the pilots, kthx". Back in the days where Republic owned Frontier/Midwest and was kinda/sorta merging them, and Lynx Q400s ran wild on DEN's A-concourse.

I was just ending my commute between DAY and SFO when that started to ramp up. I normally took a F9 airbus to get home and the crews were more than a little distraught about what was happening. At least it seems to be working out for them now.

One of two remaining On Mark Marksmans, a Douglas A-26 Invader heavily converted for executive transport. Note the DC6 cockpit windows. Additionally, tip tanks where installed, as well as a redesigned wing spar - "a ring spar" allowing easier movement in the cabin. Sweet bird, sad to see it rotting.

p.s. this is an iPhone shot, I'm impressed.

Another throw-back...basically just uploading a random photo that's been sitting around my hard-drive for years. This was American's final NRT-SJC flight on 10/28/06 turning off the runway when they de-hubbed San Jose and dropped the route. The plane flew out to DFW after(almost bought a ticket) and an AA 777 never returned to SJC. The route was flown in the early 90s by DC-10s then later MD-11s before the 777. At it's peak, the SJC hub had international flights to CDG, NRT, TPE, and YVR.

I grew up in Vancouver and haven't made it back to Washington/Oregon in nearly 10 years. Your pictures are outstanding, but are making me homesick!
