Ameriflight is Hiring Part 135 Captains - ABQ and CVG

Less than $2500/month pay for pilots that are close to atp mins??? With a training contract, horrible schedule, some sort of flow scam after a few years of service, and old airplanes...gee where do I sign up???

$2500 a month is a lot more than what first year regional guys are making

Not to mention you get a type....so your info is inaccurate...that being said I am not supporting the bs 121 pay in the least. The only option for me personally was 91....I refuse to work for someone's pocket change....

I'll fly with a single pilot freight guy any day, any night, any wx, they earn every cent of their paycheck. Yes, it's low, but usually freight is not a career job. I'm curious as to the pay structure for a pt. 91 single pilot jet who operates with an SIC.

Let it be, @herik54555, we get you don't like the pay at AMF, we get that you make serious coin flying SIC on a CJ, we get you don't like first year pay at regionals (join the club, this is nothing new).

Pic didn't have the single pilot exemption therefor 2 pilots are required...pay was 45ish until the 45 came around.

That's decent pay, it sounds like you were blessed by the aviation gods. I'm unsure what this means: "until the 45 came around."

I like to think of it as I made my own luck..while my classmates in flight school were screwing around on cross countries I was networking...when it came time to decide if I wanted to continue on with cfi I was offered a right seat position...no brainer....the problem now is 400 hours a year isn't adding up very fast so I am examining my options while refusing to work for crap pay....the CJ has since been traded for a LR-45..pay went up.

Sounds like you should stick around at your current job and hope you get a CA slot in while. That pay is above average for a 45 FO.

Well, you did make your own luck. Now you are unlucky enough to be pigeon holed into that position because you don't have the time to move on. It will take you longer to progress because you didn't take a crap paying job. Especially if you lack multi turbine PIC time, it will be very hard to move onto another 91 gig or 135 for that matter.

Yep!

I was in that position myself a few years ago... Started off as an SIC in a CJ3 with low time (about 1600 TT), eventually upgraded to CA. Great QOL (only flew 150 hrs/yr on salary), but terrible pay. I knew that I was going to have to bite the bullet and do something that built my time up quicker.

I went to a regional, and gained much much more experience within a couple of years. Already I've had a couple of interviews that I never would have had if I stayed at the CJ gig.

45k for a 45 FO? That is not above average. Average is 58k. 45 is below the low...
Pretty sure an FO in that size is of jet averaged around that 45k range. Oh well. More money is almost always better .

No I looked up the pro pilot survey for the 45. Numbers I stated are from that survey.
I'm not arguing. More money than I thought is good.

I haven't been looking for corporate jobs in a few years so I am a bit out of the loop.

Ya, people underestimate the power of properly filling a resume with qualifications people want. You can talk crap about low pay all day long but I know too many people that stagnate their careers by being too noble and proud. I am in a place where I can judge bottom feeding, low paying companies, but I got here by going through those companies. So yes I am a hypocrite. But in the end of the the day I am a realist.
