One that wants to work for Frontier for the rest of their career and/or convince them of that desire. What's the ideal candidate? RJ FO? Non-4yr degree? Or are they looking for check airmen, TPIC, etc etc?
F9 is a honorable place to go and retire but I'm sure that demographic isn't huge and probably gets smaller and smaller each day as the majors suck up all the competitive and qualified pilots. One that wants to work for Frontier for the rest of their career and/or convince them of that desire.
My guess is you probably wouldn't make it past the first round with that answer. @GypsyPilot what do you think? So, telling them that you're definitely hanging out for a while, to see how you like the job wouldn't be good enough?
I stated that my Delta & United apps were back up plans in case today didn't work out. They redirected and said their corporate culture is starkly different than those two airlines how could I possible consider all three? Then before I could answer they asked why i didn't have apps in with jetBlue, Spirit, Sun Country, Allegiant. Then waited for my response for each.I mean, shouldn't one consider having more than one application out there? I guess some people may not feel the need to do that, but companies can't possibly expect EVERY applicant to be all about that one company to the point that they won't even consider applying elsewhere.
Ahhhh, so they have a particular approach and it's not as simple as yes or no.

I keep hearing they have a very pilot friendly contract-- what makes it that way?
But for real...what kind of time are they looking for? I know at least one guy on here started with them recently. One that wants to work for Frontier for the rest of their career and/or convince them of that desire.
I can only speak for my day but I have 48xx and 2k pic turbine and I was the lowest time besides an f-15 pilot. But for real...what kind of time are they looking for? I know at least one guy on here started with them recently.
Good to know. I'm trying to start thinking about places a guy with only 135 time could get to that aren't regionals. And if you're having trouble finding a spot it seems like I'm boned.I can only speak for my day but I have 48xx and 2k pic turbine and I was the lowest time besides an f-15 pilot.

Don't Lakers get hired there all the time? Sucks about the other apps though. Seems like an invasive and relatively unnecessary question. There WILL come a time in the near future where they won't have the luxury of being so picky.
Alaska. They take 135 guys. Are you trying to stay in Alaska? If you are and want 121 time I would recommend Ravn or Penair. With your times it wouldnt take long to upgrade at Penair.Good to know. I would've hired you with an answer like that... But I tend to think a sense of humor says something about a person."Tell us: did you apply to United, Delta, or American?"
*Serious but concerned expression*
"Absolutely not! Not only is Frontier the only airline that I have ever applied to or wanted to apply to, but on the very day that I found out that I was bound for this interview, I sent a packet containing a my own manifesto raging against the legacy airlines, personal insults against the recipients, and fake checkride failures to the hiring managers of those airlines and visited the homes of each CEO to flirt with their wives."
Seems like an interrogation and not an interview. My guess is you probably wouldn't make it past the first round with that answer. @GypsyPilot what do you think?
