As far as data and research go, unfortunately most everything is very protected. I can't go posting my airline's data on here without getting burned at the stake. .

For what it's worth, the USAF is the same way with its Safety Board investigations (the one that finds cause). They're very highly protected, though leaks happen often these days. As opposed to the Accident Board investigation of the same event that happens after (the one that finds fault/blame), and is publicly releasable. There are a number of reasons why SIB reports are kept protected the way they are, but there's a lot of good learning info in them that can only be disseminated in a limited fashion to a need-to-group of people.
