Just throwing a different perspective in there. I still love airplanes, but I hated the airline lifestyle after a while. It's very complicated to explain in detail why for the purposes of this thread. However, the point is that your career progression should take you to a place where YOU are happy. Who cares if others feel you're accomplished or not.

After dealing with my first person collapsing in public today, which was extremely satisfying, I thought "this must be what it's like to manage a serious emergency in the air, only it's not my life on the line." I'm happier today with my career change than I've been anytime in the past 3 years.
 
1997-first flight
2004-pvt
2005-2008 inst,comm,cfi CFII MEI
2008-2010 instruct ting
2010 135 cargo
2010 aerial napping
2011- regional f/o probably for life.
