You remember it, I relive it every single trip with some of these guys. The scary thing is, northern jets did that when they didn't have the unlimited amount of money they do now. If they wanted Alaska gone it would happen in short order. This is a chance for them to buy them on the cheap.
I think the only reason Delta doesn't buy Alaska is because Alaska is worth a large amount of money right now.
Yep, they play this game for a year or two and get Alaska to report less than stellar quarterlies and, voila, look who is getting married!
That lasted up till the merger. It was the secret place to go when you couldn't get on any flights to the other hubs.
