Airbus Nose-up at Abu Dhabi Airport

Had a DHL crew almost put my 99 on its tail once. Hated how they wanted to preload (FAA and TSA peeps seems to not like this either) my aircraft and that is why. "But it says you can put 1600lbs in the door" was the response after yelling at them to get out of the plane and to take the cargo out.

1600? Who the heck tiled them that???? 1000 and a hefty pilot/loader will put a 99 on it's butt! 1000 in the tail is my absolute limit on an empty Metro...

They just looked at the placard for the zone right there at the door and just started to pile everything in the back assuming that meant it was ok. They had the back VERY heavy. Apparently they had never used a teeter totter as a kid since they had no idea that a plane would sit on its tail if loaded incorrectly. These sames guys did the loading on DC-8s. Those ATI crews were lucky IMO.

Yeah 1000lbs is pretty much the limit for the door in the Metro with no other zones being filled.

Seems like it's more common with the DC10/MD11s due to the engine weight in the back.

Any photos of a 727 doing it? I could imagine they're prone to it.

I've seen a NWA 727 and Citation VII do it empty, both due to heave snow/ice accumulation.
