Ipad kneeboard

So for those of you who use an ipad in the airplane, what do you use for a case or kneeboard or anything? I have an ipad3 and am going to start using it and wondered what y'all could recommend in that department. Thanks

I've tried knee boards and mounts, and I hate them all. Simply in a map case or pocket somewhere is good enough.

I saw the ipro aviator ones. Are they convenient to use? I mostly want something that wont get in the way and will be a little more than just having my ipad sitting there unsecure. Or do yall use some type of flight bag and keep it in there?

I just set it in my lap, easy to pick up when I want.
I tried that but it seemed like it would go sliding off my lap at the worst times and end up buried under the rudder pedals. I like having it mounted but mine is a mini, a full size might be too in the way if it's not in your lap

That is exactly what happened to my Android tablet. Now, I have to replace the screen.

I've had my iPad in my lap about 250 hours and have never had an issue. I own a mount and used that twice, really hard to type on, much easier to simply pick it up.

I have the smart cover for my iPad Air, and it provides enough friction to keep the iPad from sliding off my lap in both the open and closed positions. I haven't had any luck with the kneeboards I've tried.

I would like to try a RAM mount some day to get an opinion on it, but just haven't been able to justify it at this point, it works well enough for me just as is.

I have a Ram iPad yoke mount in my 210 that I'm pretty happy with. I mount it on the other yoke so it's not in my way but still very easy to use and read. I use a mini though so ymmv.

Thanks for the replies. I like the ones that have some sort of cover that can go over the screen so im gonna narrow my choices to that.
