Yes. Look at the missed approach hold for Mexico City, Quito, any place sitting in a bowl or valley. You have to climb in the hold to clear the terrain. Especially single engine.

It took me a long time, and it's still weird, some of the stuff that we got elbows up on in a twin that now just requires us to make another put off coffee and meal.
Frag a motor? Do some math and probably continue.
