Yes, we ALL spend an inordinate amount of time here because, of course, we have common interests and we're all looking to get ahead or help others get ahead.
I figure it's like the "take a penny/leave a penny". If our content happens to help you out or enlighten you in some way, add to the content. It's pretty simple. Without other people adding to the "content kitty" before you, there would have been nothing for you to read.
So when I hear about people that are angry about the amount of time spent on professional online forums, we have to recognize that a lot of us are actively benefitting from these "dastardly" things and sometimes you might have to elucidate that to others from time to time.
It's a free resource and we're a sum of our whole and the only price for admission is throwing a couple posts up, offering to help just as eagerly as you were when you took it and avoid the "I got mine, pull up the rope".
