Latest Eagle AIP rejected

This happened in 2002. You don't even have a grasp on the timeline, let alone the facts, so you should probably stop talking.

Even if my timeline is a little off, it's still not that long ago.

Probably because they had more important things to worry about. I thought JC and BB were completely out of line with how they handled the situation, but I wouldn't have recalled them. It was something that should have been addressed behind closed doors, and for all you know, it was.

You LOVE getting in your high horse about trade unionism, but frankly the Comair MEC spat on that concept and didn't correct the deplorable actions by a few.

For crying out loud Skywest a non-union airline has treated furloughed pilots better than the Comair MEC. That is disgusting.

Again, not hatred. But he wasn't even one of the people I'm talking about here. You need to get your facts straight.

If my date is off, it's not off by a lot and then again, the fact of the matter is, trade unionism was spat on by the Comair MEC.

I can see why no help was given to them when they needed it.

Considering that the animosity between the Delta and Comair pilots has nothing to do with you, @ATN_Pilot , and I doubt you even fully understand where it comes from, you might want to step out of that conversation yourself.

I was the EVP for the CMR pilots when they were shut down and left out in the cold. So yeah, I do have a right to an opinion on this matter, thanks.

That may be, but I could care less about the Comair view. Quite frankly, if you are for them, you are against us. I wouldn't pee on Lawson if he was on fire, and the silence of the rank and file was implicit complicity in his attempted hostage taking.

@Derg, do you have a copy of that letter JCL sent out telling your pilot group to 'pound sand' when y'all were furloughing?

Oh, sure! I think I have that somewhere.

@ATN_Pilot, I have to jump the gun and tell you that you're talking to a guy (not I) who was out on furlough when the following letter went out.

And that's not even the "bad one" that talks about safety and CRM.

Thanks for that letter.

I am talking about the one from JC about having Delta pilots resign their seniority if they come over to Comair.

Have that one?

I got off a Jumpseat and spent an additional night away from home because that prick was the captain on the last flight I needed to catch and I refused to ask that DB for anything.

So in other words there was a great deal of animosity between Comair and Delta pilots.

And that animosity probably contributed to the Comairing of Comair?

Let's put it this way, if the DALPA MEC tried to help them, the rank and file would have mutinied and strung em up like Mussolini was.

That may be, but I could care less about the Comair view.

And that's the lack of unity I was talking about that makes ALPA so weak (and yes, JCL and BB had the same problem).

Quite frankly, if you are for them, you are against us.

I would go to hell and back for those guys. A great group of pilots who shouldn't be tarred and feathered for the actions of a couple of guys.

The Eastern strike was a lot longer that that and I still check names against the scab list if a jumpseater looks to be the right age. Some things don't mellow with age or time.

I carry the same list. And if you wanted to deny JC, although I don't agree, I wouldn't really fault you for it. But the rank and file CMR pilots don't deserve the same treatment.

That is the fundamental failure of ALPA. It cannot serve both mainline and regional carriers. They are diametrically opposed to one another and by not being able to serve either group 100%, ALPA fails to serve either group adequately.
