Latest Eagle AIP rejected

Is Eagle still hiring? It seems like they would stop that pretty quick if they have a viable option to move forward without Envoy.

Because line pilots shouldn't have to be making choices about which hills to die on, at least not in an improving economy.

The basic truth though is that just as the regionals grew at a huge rate during 2000 to 2008 they are now going to start shrinking at the same rate. Many of us got in and got out during that time and benefited from the artificial wave. Many got in during that time but won't get out before it all collapses.

And it doesn't always go that way. The whole bottom half of the Endeavor list thought they would be furloughed too but due to lots of people bailing off the top (and less of a reduction in flying that was planned) they are all holding on to their jobs for now.

By the way.....Home depot paid better when I worked there 10 years ago (2004) then my airline job pays today. I quit there to take my first "REAL" job as commercial pilot. My pay check is a joke and this quote nails it.

Oh and I just heard HD is ramping up the seasonal hiring right now. That's how I started.
 
I wonder if our company will start picking up some flying? Heard that expressjet was slowing down their flying, Chautauqua was going away, and now eagle is unknown. Be a good time for Hulas to make some extra cash.

Let me get this straight- your opinion is that YOU BELIEVE a letter from a fearmongering manager where they JUST TOLD US that if we didn't vote in concessions, they'd park all the jets and shut the place down, then the DAY AFTER WE DON'T DO WHAT THEY DEMAND they turn around and say 'WE'RE NOT SHUTTING DOWN THE AIRLINE'?

Really, I try to give you the benefit of the doubt, despite all of the stories I hear of how insane you are, but you don't make it easy.

I'm confused, I think SkyWest just took over some of Lakes old routes and no one cared.

What am I missing? And I know I'm probably missing something, but I thought someone might as well do the flying if no one else is.
