I might be bias because I work there but seems like well be okay. Reason being when we lost the United contract we gained the Airways one. But yes the fleet is old and only 200s so I have mixed opinions. When other company's are talking about buying other type of ac we haven't had any movement nor will management say anything. I think they will survive whatever is handed down to us.It will be interesting to see what ( if any ) future Air Wisconsin will have. With an aging fleet of 70 CRJ200 they are not positioned with the necessary airplanes. Plus their CPA with USAIR is up sometime in 2015. The American/USAIR merger really throws a wrench in things.
Best luck to all and hope Air Whisky survives.....but the signs point to shut down.
Just to add a little here......
Why would US Airways pay (entirely) for CAT 2 and RNAV training for the pilots (and airplanes) if they don't plan to keep zw around in some capacity?!?! Completion wont be done until some time next year. It would be a waste of money (for which we all know Mr. Parker doesn't do lol) if they were just going to dump us. Air Wisconsin's upper management is very secretive about everything. There has been speculation that they already have 700 and 900 manuals and procedures made up as well.
If I'm not mistaken seems like what you experienced at NW was to keep the company running. What I am talking about is an upgrade of sorts. Why upgrade and invest a lot of money into something that you don't plan to keep around. That's what I'm saying.
No they didn't !Did they ever get cockpit printers for the ACARS?
