American Eagle told to play ball or become Comair-II

What we need is a break........stressful times for many people right now........so totally off topic..... @Bumblebee ........Dale do you ever get to perform here and there anymore (the jazz and old standards music) .....I know this was just some karaoke at a JC event, but I thought you were damn good.......everybody chair dance!!!

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled fighting, moaning, chest thumping, and freakouts.

Actually, I resigned, rather than be Tony's puppet. But at least you admit your true intentions.

Our intentions were to get work done, which you were vehemently against purely because of political disagreement. An MEC committee doesn't get to make up their own rules.

Everyone mellow the hell out.

Yes it sucks, yes everyone's stressed out, but at the end of the day the company doesn't care if you're angry, bitter and fighting amongst one another.

They don't care.

To them, it's like watching midgets wrestle.

You will absolutely end up across the table from someone you have an internet fight with. Guarantee.

Considering the work I was trying to do was made secondary to being a tool to push out people who didn't toe Tony's personal line, that was probably a good thing.

The MEC is a democracy. Tony surrounded himself with Yes Men in an effort to undermine any opinion but his.
When I took over the P2P it was being used as a political soapbox, and I was given zero guidance or legislation on how to run things. So I ran an apolitical organization. Keep believing you served the majority interests- you served Tony's company-friendly agenda.
Congrats on being the most easily duped.

You know NOTHING. Great way to be for a puppet running a Comm committee for a despot.

Listen. I met you before all this ALPA crap and I thought we were at least friendly acquaintances. I didn't sign up to be the Comm chair, I happened upon it. Nobody else wanted it, and they gave it to me. Now that said, I had a boss, and a job. I did my job, and I truly believed in the work we were doing. You clearly disagree and have some very different recollections than I. Regardless, I worked very hard to try and be the best communications chair I could be. I made mistakes, and I learned a lot. I sacrificed a lot of my own life and career in an effort to reach as many pilots as I could with everything I knew.

All that aside, I don't work in the union anymore and I want the same thing that you want: a better career for us now, and for future Eagle pilots. I'm not sure why anything from the past matters, but I really don't care. We still have a long road ahead of us as a pilot group and I'd rather focus on the future than the past. I'm not going to participate in this conversation anymore.

In the end, I hope we can still be friendly acquaintances, instead of enemies.

You were a puppet delivering company-friendly brainwashing.

Wake up! You just admitted that somebody not toeing the line of a particular agenda was FORCED out by underhanded methods. I wasn't trying to avoid work- I asked for funds for my committee to do work and was consistently denied them until I resigned in frustration.

Tony called me in August of 11 and offered to back me for the SPC chair to push a political rival of his out of office. I declined but avoided saying I wasn't going to be his puppet. So they installed Hector, who took to such lovely things as modifying my schedule without even telling me. And I guess I know where those funds I wanted to build the P2P committee went- Hector drank them all by running up thousand dollar bar tabs and leaving pilots to foot the bill.

You were a stooge. You think you just fell into that Comm chair for no reason? That it was vacant for no reason? WAKE UP. We got railroaded through the bankruptcy concession process and Tony drove the train. You think it's a coincidence the MEC chairs so graciously declined a reelection bid?

They served their own interests, and in that, I refused to participate once I got wise.

So don't tell me we're buddies when you smear me publicly about things where you know NOTHING while you cower and encourage fear among my fellow pilots.

Your cowardly bootlicking serves no good purpose. Be quiet.

As for being enemies, I don't see you as one. Calling you an enemy would at least credit you with the spine to pick an opposing view of your own volition. As your only stance is to cower behind somebody else's cowardly approach to the company, you're not even worth that kind of differentiation.

Wow.

For those following along at home, usually in these disagreements the truth is somewhere in the middle, but with this disagreement it's not.

Look at the responses to see for yourself who is being level headed in talking about the facts and one who is throwing around personal insults and telling people to 'be quiet' to see were the truth may be.

Damn.....I love this kind of music....it's mostly what we listen to in truth, and dance to. Your voice and stage presence are seriously awesome!!!! Really like your suits, man!!! I had no idea you played the trumpet either. That band is excellent. As for Pablo Cruise....I have their best of cd and play it all the time. THAT is cruising music. Liked your site and other videos too. Thanks, for responding. You are very, very talented.
