Let the AS vs DL war continue

Ooh, dirty pool thought. What if, instead of attempting to recreate the RNP approach, Delta instead pushed the theory that the approach is now illegal under today's regs, thereby depriving AS of its use and forcing them to use what every other airline has to.

Hahhahaha, that would make a lot of people angry that have been in this 'discussion'.

That would suck. It'd be faster to take the boat.

The only thing I can see anyone in this thread get frustrated about is your self appointed sky god position.

Taking a page out of General Sherman's book...I guess they ARE from Atlanta.

I am saying it the way I see it. Funny thing is, people in the know on here also agree with what I am saying.

Ha no anger over that prospect.... It would put us in very good position, after the Alaska RNP, we have the next lowest approach, better than the special LDA-Z, into Juneau. Bring it on! Sounds like money in the bank for us.

I'm not talking about Delta's operations into JNU. Personally, I'll just wait and see with curiosity.
I'm talking about you knowing everything about every type of aviation operation under the sun drawing from your vast background in one narrow field of aviation.

@Houston may be able to speak to this, but I *think* I remember reading somewhere that customized approaches have been treated like aircraft certification in the sense that if the manufacturer can show that the need for update doesn't effect safety (or they can prove by past operation that the update required hasn't caused a failure of safety in the past) the previous certification holds.

I don't have a dog in this fight, as I have zero aspirations for a career in aviation. But since @Seggy strapped on that 737. Been noticing A LOT of hate/passive-aggression directed towards him.

Just sayin'

The only thing I knew about him was he worked for colgan at some point and he hates guns.
I also don't think there's anything passive aggressive. I'll openly say he has no clue what he's talking about in regards to general Alaska operations. And even while he doesn't think so, he's agreed with my points.

It was a general statement/observation. Not necessarily solely about you or your comment.

I'm with @Maximillian_Jenius on this one.

Seggy has an opinion, sometimes crazy, sometimes over-confident, but welcome to the internet. And there's another camp that has almost made it sport to pull their hair out and have internet emergencies whenever he posts.

YES, INDEED, sometimes I roll my eyes. Sometimes a little more often than normal, but…

Are you ready for it?

It's the internet.

Thanks Obama. Thanks for nothing.

It's the "Gnash Cluster Syndrome." Remember those?
