Yeah we'll be the first airline in the U.S. to operate the CF6-80E1 which is built specifically for the A330. At least we're sticking with the CFM's for the A321s. the one good thing about the new CF6-80E1 will be the On Point support from GE. We have the same program for the GE90s. We actually just got reimbursed for when a 777 lost an engine en-route back to ATL from Johannesburg and had to make an divert to Ascension Island. It's a nice program.I'm glad I wasn't the only one who scratched my head on that one. You would think commonality would help reduce cost.
