Well, we did work there.Silver is looking for Saab and beech pilots, not the best place but if you are not current, have more than a few dui's, or just plane can't get on else where silver will take ya!
It's harder to find direct entry capt's with the new rules to. I could have 4000 hours in a 1900, but unless I flew it under 121 or with more than 10 seats in the back, I wouldn't be qualified to fly the exact same airplane under 121. 121.436(a)(3)It will either be dec's or the doors closing

Except they will literally send you to ATP for your ATP, and not type you with an ATP. There are a million other regionals to go to...
If we keep adding new routes without addressing our staffing concerns, we will be in even more of a world of hurt.
LOL,
adding more routes when you cannot staff your current flying makes zero sense to me. But I guess this who industry makes little sense in general.
That is why I put it on here so I can fly the Saab like I should be and have more below me. Keep growing and try for some fresh blood!
I guess when they're paying a livable wage they'll get a few more bites...just a hunch though. (I don't have 1500 hrs so no dog in that fight yet)
I imagine that the schools with the 1,000 and 1,250 hour exemptions are about to start graduating decent numbers of pilots. Just a guess though.
How much 121 time does one need to be a 121 Captain these days? It's harder to find direct entry capt's with the new rules to. That being said, Silver is a great little 'first airline'. Good place to get your ATP and first type rating knocked out and you'll probably fly more than enough to get your feet wet in 121 ops. Excellent stepping stone to bigger and better airline.
