Fair enough but my point remains the same
My point was not blaming XJT it was just another example of how all regionals are guilty to some extent.
Ur welcome! I wish all of my friends at pinnacle the best hopefully the worse is behind them.Oh it's ok... Hey, thanks for voting!!
Dude you don't get the gist of the post. Forget it
That is how it sounds to me. Sounds like you won't know what airframe you are on till indoc is over.Anyone on the EMB hear that all new hire classes, until obviously the sim phase, will be held in Houston now? I don't know how the company had been running them (EMB in IAH and CRJ in ATL, or CRJ/EMB in Atlanta until a certain point then separate training environments), but hearing rumblings that CRJ new hires will do the initial new hire circus in Houston starting soon.

Recruiting told me yesterday all new hire classes are ERJ until further notice
I think they are having issues getting people to come to the EMB classes. The class behind me only had 8 show up. I think they had a lot more scheduled to be there. Everyone showed up in my class and caught them off guard.Ouch, that hurts. I hope what they mean though is, all indoc will be in Houston until everyone splits off. I was under the impression they were hiring 20/month on the CRJ for the remainder of the year.
My guess is everyone wants the ERJ now the EMB is a different story. My understanding talking to people on both sides of the company is the QOL is about the same at first but can get a lot better on the CRJ side of the house quicker. Also some people like the CRJ bases better. ATL/DTW/DFW/IAD vs 7 bases for the EMB side. Why do people not want the ERJ?

From what I understand the work rules for the EMB side are better but scheduling is better with ASAs PBS.My guess is everyone wants the ERJ now the EMB is a different story. Because they could fly a CRJ 700 or 900!
Personally I went after the side with the better bases(for me) and contract. Also more hiring on the EMB side means a potentially faster line.
It may also be the fact that they got picked up somewhere else that worked better for them. I know one guy that will be commuting from Hawaii. Then again he was doing that at his previous airline as well. Why he decided to commute to the east side of the US is beyond me.

The info I have is limited (and possibly wrong), however it is applicable as it would be closer to what potential new hire would be looking at.
