135 regs require 500, nothing Amf can do about that. Keep your head up and keep moving forward!

I know this. I have over 800 hours of point to point Pt 135 cross country time clearly stated on my résumé. I am not eligible for a Pt 121 job because I only have 324 hours of cross country beyond 50 miles 500 hours of which is required for the ATP

I realize that is frustrating, but don't get upset or worried that you're losing seniority to everyone and their brother. They are all in the same boat. Sorta surprised at AMF's response though. You are so close to ATP mins maybe that is scary for them. Sucks, but it seems realistically most people going to AMF are bailing ASAP, and likely for the regionals. You will get there! Soon, too.
Oh and sorry, I didn't answer your question. I need another 126 hours of PT 121 cross country time to reach the magical "500". Been begging borrowing and stealing it as best I can..

I thought that too for a moment but I only listed pt 135 cross country on my résumé. Thanks for the encouragement.. I do appreciate it. My old man always told me that everything happens for a reason and this is one of those times. Amflight is not where I was meant to be...

Hmmm....then I have no idea. There are many other 135 outfits around, but being so close to your necessary hours to apply to a regional, maybe its not worth making the jump (other than single pilot 135 is awesome experience). Maybe you can gut it out, and beg, barrow, or rent a C-150 and knock out a bunch of XC hours-maybe with a safety pilot. The good news for you and those of your career cohort is that there should be jobs waiting if not begging for you when you hit your mins. A few years ago, even if you had carrier landings, it was a crap shoot. So that's why I feel you shouldn't fret.

Congrats spitfire!! If you have questions or need help, just ask! TONS of Amfers here, both present and former

"If you don't have your chieftain load chart you're failing this ride"

"That's not how you recover!" (Totally was)
"Settle down, you're going to pass."
"Hey dad, do you want to play some tennis?!" I don't remember how this fit into ground school, but the image of him bouncing around hitting an invisible ball will never leave. Never.

I liked him cause I played his game.

I didn't have a problem with him, but he was very "unique" in his teaching style. I can say I mostly enjoyed going through Chieftain training with him.

Bob was a the toughest and best instructor I ever had. He sure whooped me into shape. He was the best part of the AMF experience I had when I was there long ago.
