What would you do (pinnacle)

What RJ captain is making $40k/yr? A senior RJ captain is a lot closer to $100k. Career progression is great and all, but nothing beats QOL.

He's talking about FO's... Although, if you stay anywhere long enough you will "in theory" get the change to upgrade even a three to four year upgrade can be wishful thing at some regionals. I have a buddy over there that was hired in early 2007, he is further from upgrade now than he was 18 months ago.

Just curious how much was it? More than the RAH 5k bonus?

It was dependent on longevity. Mine was only $3k. Captains who were paid to screw everyone that is junior to them were paid out about $30k. Sarcasm aside they did take a huge pay cut by being sent down to a 12 year scale but still.... $30k!? That's a year of work for me!

Longevity Transition Payment. We're gonna screw you so here's a little money to make it hurt less for a few months. Or in my case for one day.

At least they did that.

When (okay okay...legal disclaimer...if) our JCBA has a top longevity step of 12 years, I somehow doubt our negotiating staff would have the foresight to get guys a "bonus."

Much less any change for First Officers who, if they stayed, would also be saying bye to 18 year longevity pay scales.

Pure awesome, just like everything else to be expected in the Asa/XJT JCBA.
