Linden is still better then Teterboro for NYC. The Train Station is close to the airport. Linden is a safe town, I lived here for 9 years, donno what u guys talking about.

TEB to Midtown is 21 min according to google maps, 31 min from LDJ. No one we fly is going to take the train to the city.
 
I wasn't even talking about commute to NYC in my initial post. The whole reason I hate Linden is location. You're flying an 800' pattern, surrounded by oil tanks and cranes, while watching airliners come off of EWR, and dealing with others under the bravo who aren't talking on the radio.

It`s a free world, but just wondering why would you go into MIA if there are two better options, one to the South and one to the North that are just as convenient located, and much cheaper. Not sure if they still have it but in OPF there use to be free parking and self-service.

You can see how the location can be an issue. I'm not sure if you've ever operated in the area, but there is a lot of rotor traffic in and out of LDJ, and the surrounding NYC airports. Many of them (along with fixed wing too) are operating just outside the bravo, at times not talking to anyone, with arrivals and departures from EWR right over head. TPA is 800', which is already sketchy enough. I've been on approach to LDJ a few times when the TIS suddenly starts yelling "TRAFFIC TRAFFIC". Maybe others have had better experiences, but all my flights into LDJ have always been a headache. If the weather even requires any kind of IFR it just becomes that much worse.
