883TT CFI/CFII/MEI Looking for something

Dphoenix

Love lasagna, hate mondays
Had about enough of chinese ab-initio flight instruction, and would love to find something else that's a move up and not just lateral...
I'm willing to relocate just about anywhere, I've got 883.6TT, 773 PIC, 308 Night, 459.8XC. 760.9 SE and 122.7 ME. Anybody have some ideas?

There are a couple of part 135 VFR Grand Canyon tour operators I've seen posting on the orange board.

You could try to apply at my company if you are looking for something adventurous, not US based. PM me if you like.

Do you know anybody that has flown for any of this operators, I have a quite a bit of 207 time and have been considering them, but can`t find much info on it, especially interested to know the overall QofL in that area..

I had to break it to you, but i think if you are "bored" or " had enough" of ab-initio chinese after 883 tt, what are tou going to do if you have to sit reserve for 2 years?

I've been at it for a year, I've gotten 600 hours, if I have to instruct another year then so-be-it but I don't get the hostility towards trying to improve your life and position. Swisspilot, when I said relocate I was thinking US, although I'd be curious to hear the details...

It's the regional pilot stigma; I'm miserable, so you will be too.
No it is not.. its against some people thinking that people owe them airline jobs at 500tt..

Nothing is easy in aviaion, those of us that have been around will tell you that..

I bow to you Mr. Airline pilot. Your ego seems to have gotten in the way of your screen. The OP didn't say anything about being owe'd anything. Nor did he say aviation should be easier or whatever nonsense you're spouting off.

It's all about survival of the fittest, and also about how your luck unfolds. Find the most rewarding job that will enhance your skills and strengthen your resume; keep searching for something better, and don't let anyone thwart you from achieving your goals. There is nothing wrong with seizing the opportunities and blessings which life presents us along our journey. As a rule of thumb: it's usually better to regret something that we have done, than something that we haven't.

Out of curiosity from someone who is about your total time, but wayy less night and X-C time, how did you build so much while instructing?

Large flight school that does most of the instrument instruction at night time. My shift regularly had me flying til 2:30am almost every day. And the only ILS available for a few months was about 48 mi with a VOR approach starting nearby that we'd do, and our TCO required both be done as well as a GPS approach, so I'd usually go with two students, shoot those approaches, swap students at the XC airport then repeat. Also, seattlepilot I don't have 500tt... Been instructing a year and would love a change, and nobody owes me an airline job... Not sure where your anger comes from but whatever.

Dude, what are you talking about? Where did he ever come across as thinking he is owed an airline job?

Heh, no wonder you feel burned out, I think I would too working those kind of hours.
