TSA to allos small knives and golf clubs onboard

Awesome! I can take two golf clubs as carry on luggage. That means I only have to make 7 round trips to get my entire bag to the course.

So I like how the permitted knives section has a Swiss army knife in it, which is a blade that does, in fact, stay relatively firmly in place.
yep, it is pretty firm but I it doesn't have a lock out like a leatherman or gerber knife. To your point though, most Swiss Army knives have blades longer than 2 inches

The blade on mine is exactly 2 inches, but I believe they are counting anything metal, not just the blade.

Either way, wouldn't take any knife I care about keeping with me...

In $8/hour terms, "no knives" is much easier to enforce and communicate than "some knives."

TSA screeners have a hard enough time regulating bottles of water and laptops. Throwing knives into the mix will lead to catastrophe

So can I take my leatherman with me now as a pilot? I've been in places where it certainly would've been nice to have a screwdriver with me.

I don't understand why they are even allowing knifes again. Let me keep my shoes on or not go through that naked body scanner thing before you let knifes back on planes.

We don't have to deal with security so I keep mine in my flight bag anyhow. It does come in handy.

If you fly on many foreign carriers (Lufthansa, Emirates for example), you are provided a full set of metal silverware which includes a sharp-enough knife, when dinner is served.
