Considering Ameriflight interview; could use some answers/input

or the bad weeks of a different run each day.
I was lucky though, or rather somebody liked me. I flogged 212 for months.

I got ya so you could technically have a different run every month or how often did you get rotated?

Depended. Sometimes the ACP would ask if you were getting tired of the run you were on or just tell you he was switching you to put someone else on it for whatever reason. I was on the same schedule for the last 9ish months I was there even though I kept requesting reserve. My seniority apparently meant nothing. That, along with the crappy pay, insane base manager and crew apartments that looked and smelled like homeless camps had me rejoicing the day I put in my 2 weeks notice.

I recall you somewhat pissing off the base manager when you put in your expense report for cleaning one or more of the apartments.

Yep. Those apartments were complete holes and I look forward to staying at overnights and layovers with my new company where the sheets on the bed are less than 20 years old. I'm sorry, but the apartments in the OAK system were horrific by any standard of hygiene. One of my favorite people there made an amazing effort to clean the RNO apartment but all the rest were treated with pathetic neglect. In my last year or so there I was never at any layover more than twice a week so I mostly would just expense a jar of disinfectant wipes for the bathroom so that I could poop with relative peace of mind.

Ya the apartments would offend homeless people. Nothing like being shoved into an apartment with barely any lights, no wifi or cable and having to sit on the floor because the couch is broken and disgusting.

I'm sure if you wanted to make a stink about it (and probably loose your job) you could talk to department of health...

All the crew apts I had been to had wifi. Some of them I'd be happy to live in. But I never flew out of oak.

Those PDX apartments were fantastic compared to the company I worked at before!

Of course, then there was The Silver Spur!

Ah I see you flew San Lois Obispo

Actually I was referring to Yreka lol. But the same goes for SLO so I've heard. Visalia, and Fresno were also pretty bad.
