SkyWest Hiring FOs

Maybe based was the wrong word, but there is definitely a few that are there... With the old skywest logo plastered across the tail...

Not to be a jerk, but show me a picture and I'll believe you. No t-props aside from a Caravan and a few Q's operate out of ORD proper. The farthest east any of our Bro's operate is DEN. Until recently I've been based in ORD for many years and never once saw a SkyW Bro there. I did see an old one this week in Eau Claire (could tell by tail # only) that is owned by Menards.

In any case, a moot point since we only have an RJ base on ORD anyway :)

Wilco. :-)

Those poor bros... Going from flying all over the West coast in cool cities like SBA and SBP to rotting away in Africa.
Poor? Its some of the most exciting flying these airplanes will see! If we're going to be anthropomorphizing them then I'm sure they prefer going in and out of weird and bushy airports in Africa than in and out of Fresno carrying a shipful of Fresbians (but no bags.)

Word of the day: anthropomorphizing. Folks make sure you use it in a sentence at least once. Just for fun. :)

Good point!

Hey guys how is everyone doing? I have a question regarding "Employment History" section on the Airline Applications site, I haven't been working in the aviation industry the last 10 years, so what do i do? just leave that part blank or fill it out with my non aviation jobs that I've had? thanks in advance

I filled in my non-aviation jobs as well, they seem to want any job youve had, aviation related or not. Good luck!

you have to make it so that you have 10 years of HISTORY. School, military, unemployment, working, etc... EVERYTHING that you've done in the past 10 years, so therefore when they do your 10 year background check everything adds up. DO NOT have any skipped dates, or missing days. IF you were laid off of one job on 6/12/2009, and got a new job on 8/23/2009, then make a separate entry called "Unemployed" from 6/13/2009 to 8/22/2009.

lol... "DAT WAS ROD STEWART!" You very funny man Lee D!

Pasargad, the 10 year background stuff SkyWest wants stems from the Canadian requirements for our crew's entry on international travel.

So with Skywest doing the "2 for 1" swap, does this mean that the hiring will stop for a while?

Right now classes are still going. The swap is happening over a long period of time too.
