United 93 - Accident Investigation

I'm honored Qutch thought I made some eloquent posts previously in this thread, but I don't deserve any recognition as any kind of authority on engineering (my formal education is accumulating... Painstakingly slowly... But there are qualified professional engineering types posting in this thread who know far more than myself). I joined JC to BS about airplanes and make friends (and for the record I'd be down for a man-date with Chasen if he offered lol). It's becoming painfully obvious that arguing with potential friends/networking contacts over controversial issues is not the most productive thing to do :) (although I stand by the questions I asked because certain facts don't sit well with me, especially with regard to WTC 7). I would be happy to see Doug's hard earned taxpayer money put towards a new investigation (sorry, just giving you a hard time man ).

Gonzo, I honestly haven't read the NIST report. I've heard it characterized as spending thousands of pages describing conditions leading up to the collapse of the buildings, and then falling short of describing the mechanisms behind how the collapse actually initiated. That sounded like kind of a let down, especially since most of us don't have the time to read a document of that magnitude in its entirety (if I'm thinking of the right report). If you've read it, would you say that is an accurate description? If not, could you point me in the right direction to finding the relevant sections?

I have three engineering degrees and am working as an engineer for aircraft flight controls, most of what you all fly has our products controlling them. I point that out as a resource for people if they want to PM me further questions. No way do I know close to anything but I will try.

As far as the networking thing, as long as you're respectful most would surely go out of their ways to help. Jtrain, surreal, and AtnPilot surely rub me the wrong way with their ideals but I would let them sleep on my couch in a heartbeat.

Thermite Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 WTC

BTW.......the truth has nothing to fear from investigation.

Let me see if I've caught up with you guys. I'm a skimmer, so I may have missed some things.

1. Your you-tube evidence is that the Commission was lied to.
2. The apparent reason for the deception was to promote the cause of going to war.

I can believe that those are certainly in the realm of possibility.

My question is, assuming that I go along with those points above, what additional conclusions are you guys trying to get me to believe about 9/11? Specifics, please.

Speaking for myself-
I'm not proposing a theory as to what really happened on 911. . Like the 911 Commissioners and a growing number of NIST personnel, I don't know exactly what happened on 911. . But I'd like to see more Official Investigations, to complement the private investigations being conducted. . 1) History shows that future generations eventually want to know the facts behind events that those who lived it found too painful, frightening or controversial to discuss among themselves without conflict. . Those investigations, although flawed by political pressures, nevertheless provide answers that need to be documented as soon after the event as possible. . 2) Washington insiders and academics are now saying privately what they are reluctant to say publically, which is that they don't think all of the major traumatic political events of the last 5 decades are isolated events, and they suspect that those traumatic events may not end until the population can face the hard questions and demand real answers. . The relatively open discussion of "conspiracy" among Washington insiders is a story the U.S. Press Corp avoids widely reporting on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDfm3NroVG8 . 911 Commissioner Bob Kerry speaking informally at a symposium. "a 30 year old conspiracy."

The Kennedy Assassination spawned several more official investigations that historians are now using to unravel what really happened. .Although commercial channels like The History Channel still play it safe and run the Official Warren Commission Story on TV, they are quietly running the latest declassified disclosures on the internet for those who are interested and ready to hear the real story. . Apparently they feel the real story is still too grisly for a television audience, but not beyond internet users determined enough to "dig" for the information. .The courageous disclosure by the 911 Commissioners, that their Report represents a false Cover Story told to them by the witnesses they called to testify, will have future generations asking why we were afraid to demand another, more credible investigation, and why we risked letting similar events happen again. .

SteveC - Those are my only "conclusions". . If you think more "specifics" justifying those conclusions are warranted, I'll give them to you. . Wild speculation and undocumented claims are permitted on JC. . And although I do wonder if the hidden/hushed-up history of the U.S. was repeated on 911, I try to avoid wild speculation when I write. . My conclusions are more than just my opinions. . Like most of the improbable claims that I've made on JC (attempting to back up hambone, pullup, jet, staledog, SeanD and many others), the essence of those claims are generally backed up by documentation that the general public rarely gets to see. . The so-called "conspiracy theorists" on this thread are in fact, merely "historians", and are surprisingly well educated and informed. . What they've said is frightening to be sure, but I can back up many of the things these posters are referring to with "authoritative" and little known-documentation (such as the 911 Commissioner videos I posted). .

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/longterm/jfk/jfk1110.htm .The Washington Post
"I am 90 to 95 percent certain that the photographs in the Archives are not of President Kennedy's brain," Horne, a former naval officer, said in an interview. "If they aren't, that can mean only one thing -- that there has been a coverup of the medical evidence."

Note: The above Washington Post article, based on one of those followup Commission investigations, is just part of the really grisly JFK evidence emerging that the History Channel thinks is too grisly, and too soon, to broadcast on American TV. . Perhaps in another 50 years everyone will finally be ready to hear the real story, regardless of how terrifying that story is. .

And here is the conspiracy and the stupidity of America all presented in one picture. First, the stupidity part:

1) This bimbo actually has, and has had, a show on a major American cable network for years - and many, many people watch. That is strike one against the USA in the stupidity pitch-count. Strike two would be that Chaz Bono is going on Dancing With the Stars and everyone is outraged by this (I was confused at first - but the more I'm told to be outraged by this I am beginning to come around to the point of view that Chaz is exceptionally brave to put herself out there like this and take all of the heat that it was known it would generate. It isn't like Cher can't support Chaz for several lifetimes - so this is obviously being done as an act of bravery to help create understanding or something. Until further notice I admire Chaz's guts). Anyway...DWTS puts Chaz Bono on and everyone poops their pants...yet Nancy Grace is also on this season and nobody is outraged at all...where is the intelligence of that?

Waco, you could potentially have a future position with these pinkos!

Y
ou might want to fast forward to the 2:15 mark.

You can't involve more than three white people in any conspiracy without someone writing a book about it. I have not seen any such book.

Wonder's don't cease.

A locked thread has been re-opened. Let the fun and games begin.

Wow. I was reading this thread today as I was getting shipwrecked on mead. Don't ask. I can't believe it got re-opened.

Any bets on how far this goes before it gets shut down? I give it 5 pages. Takers?

mmm.... good point, I'd say that depends on how many negative comments are made towards each other.

Qutch has asked me to comment on this thread again, and since I haven't thought of anything else intelligent to say, I will say this: Qutch absolutely busts his ass to get his opposition to see his point of view, and in a friendly manner as well.
