Took my third and final CFI ride today, adding on the single engine rating. The oral was about 30 minutes, consisting of Special Emphasis Areas, and Area of Operations 13. I picked five topics to discuss, and it was off to the plane. We departed LZU and headed for 19A. Along the way we did the maneuvers, slow flight, power on and power off stalls, accelerated stall, eights on pylons, chandelles, lazy eights, emergency descent to a landing, power off 180's, short-field landing/takeoff. The pylons are my weakpoint because I am so tall that seeing the left wingtip is impossible for me. The examiner recognized that and gave me a bit of leeway on that side. All in all it was a pretty easy day in some crappy weather. The flight was 1.2 and my landings were the best that I have done in my life. I am happy to be done with my training, and now it is time to head back to being a Loadmaster for a while before I take some time off to be a flight instructor.
