Blocking a flightaware picture

So after 7 months of operation, my airplane has finally shown up on the internet with a photo on flightaware. Worst part is, I am in the photo. Is there a way that upon the owners request I can have flightaware block the photo?

So you want a picture of an airplane, taken from a public spot, on a public airport to be censored? Last I checked, we don't live in Nazi Germany.

I don't care about the airplane being on the net. We have a unique paint job, i'm amazed it's taken this long. I just don't like that I am in the picture.

I could understand if you didn't want your wife to know you took a couple of friends for a ride. It happens to me all the time!

I suppose you could just email them and explain that though you don't mind the plane, you'd rather not have your picture there. I don't see why they wouldn't oblige.

Hypersensitivity...

If I saw the picture, as an otherwise uninformed member of the public, I wouldn't know WHO the pilot was or how to steal his identity by it.

You are out of luck. Flightaware "owns" the photo via the terms of agreement the photographer accepts when uploading the photo. Even if you get the photographer to agree to delete the photo flightaware will not. My advise is to start wearing a hoodie when you fly :)
