Um, no. Not even close. DOH would have still been a massive screw job for us. Just not as bad as what we got. A fair integration is what would have been decided by an arbitrator, had we been allowed to proceed to arbitration. It probably would have been some sort of ratio'd list within each category and status, just like pretty much every other recent integration.
It should have remained ALPA's policy for all seniority integrations so that the precedent could never be broken by anyone.
DOH was never ALPA's policy on seniority integrations, because it's rarely a fair integration methodology. DOH was one of many factors that was considered in integrations under ALPA's merger policy for years, but if you read the arbitration decisions during those years, you'll find that arbitrators gave it little weight. It was eventually taken out of the policy, because it was realized that it didn't make a whole lot of sense.
