K, so we now have Hitlar and Bin Laden identified. I volunteer to be Idi Amin (most kickass evil bastard EVAR). Who wants to be Pol Pot?
 
Stalin was so much worse than Hitler, Pol Pot and Idi Amin combined it isn't even close. What did Hitler do - like 6 million killed? Pol Pot is around 2 to 4 million dead under his rule. Idi Amin is a piker at 100-500,000 dead. Stalin was "The man!" - and by "The man" I mean "Greatest genocidal whacko of all time" with a conservative estimate being around 10 million if you don't include famines.

I will be Stalin.

It really was. Enjoyed it very much. My internet handle when I was an enfant terrible was "Idi Amin" (as you can see, I've mellowed in my old age). In a case of "truth is stranger than fiction", my best friend in college turned out to be Ugandan. Probably a year after we first met I learned that his father had been Amin's chief speechwriter for a while. Man did he have some good stories. The one that sticks with me is Amin's jeep being ambushed by rebels. They make the mistake of hosing down the FIRST jeep (Amin is in the second). Everyone is dead in the first one, and his driver in the second is shot. Second jeep comes to a stop with many bullet holes and Amin jumps out, pulls his .45 and LEADS the remaining guards in pursuing the now-fleeing rebels. Mad as a March Hare, no question, but great big giant brass ones. I'd pay good money to see a psych profile of that magnificent crazy weirdo.

I think I'm taller than Stalin. But in my heart I'm an evil, vindictive little man.

And Pinochet - he was a great man. Leveled the karma of the leftists in Chile. Also props to the Argentine Junta that would drop leftists out of the back of a C130 alive over the Atlantic. I really don't think we should count right-wing dictators - they were largely just dealing with leftists the way they should be dealt with.

Nah, not nearly as interesting as it sounds. Just a pilot doing what pilots do: whining and overreacting. One of my responsibilities was moderating our internal web board, and this guy was posting this crazy stuff that was way out of bounds of what the terms of service were, so I had to delete his posts. Apparently, in this guy's mind, moderating a web board is equivalent to murdering 4 million people, so he told me that I was no better than Pol Pot. Needless to say, for the rest of the week, I got rid of my normal signature with my union title and replaced it with this on every web board post I made:

Saloth Sar (aka Pol Pot)
Prime Minister, Evil Dictator, and All Around Bad Guy
People's Republic of Kampuchea

He didn't seem amused, but I thought it was funny. :)
