Checking currencies? Whats that? Am I holding Pounds, Dinars, Yuans, or Ducats?
How would anyone even know the passengers had been puffing? If theres no bails of weed in sight they'd have to have probable cause, call the police, probably have a search warrant and all this from some dude at the FAA that has no law enforcement credentials? Come on. Unless the guy is a maintenance inspector he's not getting on board.

I guess I've never been rampchecked so I don't really know what to expect. From some people I know that have been rampchecked, they had to show they had a complex signoff which then led to logbooks getting out....

License, medical, photo id. Nothing more, nothing less. Have never carried a logbook with me nor is it required. Have been ramp checked pt. 91, 135 and 121. Don't forget to ask for their id when they ask for yours.

I've been ramped twice. Once by a mx inspector, once by a safety inspector. Surprisingly, the MX asked more all my credentials, and the safety inspector didnt ask for a thing. No license, no medical, no nothing.
I knew a guy who ran a brokerage firm and crashed a 210 with 40lbs of pot on board. Got away with it scott-free because it wasnt his plane. Claimed he didnt have any knowledge of the duffle bag, even though he kept asking where it was at when the paramedics showed up. Apparently plausible deniability is enough.

Hilariously, I've been ramped less and less often as I've moved "up" the ladder. At FLX it was maybe twice a year. Flying the bigger-little-box-haulers it was more like once a year and only because they happened to be there looking at someone else. Flying pax charter in the Jeeeeeeeetttttttt? Not once, Canada to Mexico and everywhere in between. And thusfar not once in air ambo *knock on wooden head*.

Ive been ramped more times than I can remember flying 135, all theyve ever asked for was licence and medical, once they wanted to see the seat log, if they ride along, put them all the way in the back. But ALWAYS ask to see their ID, I had some chump with an FAA hat on try to "ramp" me one time, giving me • about not calling base (I flew a straight in final, no base), in front of the passengers, turned out later that he didnt even work for the FAA, he was just some idiot contractor that was hired to measure the runways or something.
As far as smelling something "Funky" do you mean funky as in the sticky icky, or funky as in ragged out prostitute anal queefing in the back? Cause I would say it all depends on where your going and where you came from, as well as whose in the back getting funky.
