Common Interview Question ask??

Here's one:

Are you familiar with a search engine called "google?" If so, have you ever used it?

Seriously, though:
try aviationinterviews.com

Most of the stuff that I've seen is TMAAT (tell me about a time) and WWYD, in addition to the straight technical/systems type questions.

Hello,

Can anyone give me idea of common question that are asked in interview of airline jobs?

Thanks in Advance...

"What is your worst trait?" Please don't tell them you're a workaholic or you try too hard to be perfect.

It may sound simple but, "what are your goals?" I asked this one time and the guy said to get into real estate. :) I restated the question as it pertains to the department and he said the same thing.

"Where do you see yourself in 5 years?"

Celebrating the 5th year anniversary of you asking me this question! .... I miss Mitch Hedberg

It really depends on the airline. Some airlines are heavy into the technical questions (UAL), and others are more interested in "tell me about a time...." questions (SWA). My AirTran interview was almost entirely the latter. No technical questions at all. Not even briefing an approach plate. A typical question from the captain interviewer was something like "tell me about a time when you had to make a difficult command decision as a captain." When the HR person came in, it was questions like "tell me about a time when you went above and beyond to help a customer." Personally, I prefer UAL's style of asking mostly technical questions, but each airline has its own style, so you have to be ready for all of it.

I know it's probably a personal question, but is there a more or less correct way to answer the question "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Does a regional airline want to hear that you want to be a lifer there or what?

No they don't want you to be a lifer but they want you to leave right away either. If you look at the pay scale, factor in variable soft pay, upgrade time and know how much it cost for the company to train you then you can calculate the point where it is cheaper to get rid of you and bring in a new hire. With the prolonged upgrade time at most regionals, I would just answer hopefully checking out as captain in 5 years.
