Gulfstream Intl Airlines Is Now Silver Airways

Well, I have been here a while now and have seem some things. if you come here, keep your eyes peeled and trust no one. I was a strong supporter of the new "Silver" but having witnessed some of our new hire pilots get sent home for refusing to be intimidated, a girl gets fired for reporting cheating (of course it was for another reason) a line pilot downgraded for taking care of his sick family member(s) (got kicked out of Saab class and supposedly is going to be fired), I don't know about this place. Just a heads up.

Doug, you or one of your compadres may now post the pig wearing lipstick pix.

Always trust the older pilots kiddo's -they know what they're talking about.

Oh, and don't forget, flight ops is paid monthly, not every 2 weeks.

Monthly, really? Thats no bueno.

Why? What's wrong with that

Well I suppose change is bad. Maybe it's not that bad. I've never heard of any employer paying monthly. It almost seems unheard of ...?? Maybe I'm ignorant but I guess since every job i've ever had, all which have been outside aviation world, have been every two weeks. So does anyone have any insight to a monthly paycheck? I guess it's just an outside the box way to do things. Does it make things harder or more easy to pay bills, go out, etc. ??

It may be weird but your first year you need to keep your head down and change takes time, Also there are too many rumors here. Also month does not make a difference as long as you keep your finances in order. Also moxiepilot your a interesting guy at first it annoyed me buy now it is funny how it is always doom and gloom and you must post on every Silver thread so. Moxiepilot whats the story I know you have one lets hear it.

No story, I just have been in aviation long enough to understand crap jobs, bad management and wool being pulled over peoples eyes propogated by blind cheerleaders. Hey if I'm wrong, great. But having seen the histories of multiple operations similar to Gulfstream (a la Gulfstream, TABExpress, Key Lime, GoJets, pacific wings etc.) I wouldn't be supporting this operation until change has actually occurred and been consistantly good for multiple years.

It's like the stock market, safer investments can be made when a company has a history of earnings, constant profitability, steady dividends and change in a positive direction. I would put Gulfstream in the high risk, high volatility category.
